[08:14:12] <deep42thought> hmm, sometimes the buildmaster's mysqld dies (presumably due to too high ram usage - 28%, last time I checked)
[08:14:12] <deep42thought> but currently the whole hypervisor seems down - I doubt, that this is our/my/mysqld's fault :-)

[15:03:07] <tyzoid> hey deep42thought: Can you let me know if you got a few emails from me?
[15:03:25] <deep42thought> good catch: my thunderbird crashed :-)
[15:03:34] <tyzoid> lol
[15:03:45] <deep42thought> yeah, got one @ 15:02
[15:03:54] <tyzoid> what's the subject?
[15:04:27] <deep42thought> Final test
[15:04:41] <tyzoid> Sweet. That's the only one that mattered :P
[15:05:01] <deep42thought> I hereby let you know, that I got "this".
[15:05:36] <tyzoid> "this"?
[15:05:43] <deep42thought> ah, now also "Testing email" from 14:57 arrived
[15:05:53] <deep42thought> well, that's what stated in your mail
[15:05:59] <tyzoid> Ah, lol
[15:06:25] <tyzoid> Yeah, the other email was postfix going through a few emails in its backlog
[15:07:05] <deep42thought> Martin Michlmayr asks if we're going to need conference/travel reimbursements.
[15:07:27] <tyzoid> Would be nice if things like fosdem would be paid for xD
[15:07:39] <tyzoid> so: yes, if we ever get enough donations
[15:07:45] <deep42thought> ok
[15:08:22] <tyzoid> afaik, for you and abaumann, fosdem would just be a train ticket
[15:08:46] <deep42thought> or a bicylce ride ;-)
[15:08:46] <tyzoid> so that'd be relatively inexpensive
[15:08:58] <tyzoid> lol, didn't realize you were that close
[15:09:17] <deep42thought> well, it's probably still 500km..1000km
[15:09:23] <deep42thought> so it would be a long ride, still
[15:09:36] <tyzoid> Probably a week or so, going pretty steady
[15:09:50] <deep42thought> heh, yeah - train it is, then :-D
[15:10:27] <tyzoid> I'd probably recommend we prioritize server expenses first
[15:10:41] <deep42thought> yeah, totally
[15:42:45] <tyzoid> deep42thought: mkarchroot is the same on arch32 as it is on upstream, right?
[15:42:56] <deep42thought> umm, I _might_ have changed it
[15:43:31] <deep42thought> changed
[15:43:34] <tyzoid> Cthulu201: ^ This could possibly explain your build issues
[15:43:41] <tyzoid> deep42thought: Do you have a diff?
[15:43:45] <deep42thought> +cat '/etc/hosts' > "$working_dir/etc/hosts"
[15:44:04] <tyzoid> Ah, that it?
[15:44:10] <deep42thought> yes, only that line
[15:44:14] <tyzoid> ok
[15:44:41] <deep42thought> https://ptpb.pw
[15:45:28] <deep42thought> but there are some more changes to other stuff around, but it's all online: https://github.com
[15:45:29] <phrik> Title:GitHub - archlinux32/devtools32: fork of devtools from archlinux.org with small modifications to compile i486 and i686 from our repositories (at github.com)
[15:45:37] <deep42thought> I have to leave now
[15:45:39] <deep42thought> cu later
[15:45:40] <tyzoid> Sounds good. The AS guys were trying to figure out this stubborn package that doesn't seem to want to build on i686
[15:45:41] <tyzoid> cya
[15:46:02] <deep42thought> well, currently glibc has issues *yuck*

[20:48:21] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[20:48:27] <deep42thought> Hi buildmaster, what's up?
[20:48:28] <buildmaster> up? I'm up for 9 hours, 10 minutes, load average: 0.18, 0.20, 0.18
[20:48:31] <deep42thought> thx, buildmaster
[20:48:31] <buildmaster> np
[20:50:07] -!- abaumann has joined #archlinux32
[20:50:07] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[20:50:34] <abaumann> concerning glibc: the crash is in '/usr/bin/ld -plugin /usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/8.1.0/liblto_plugin.so, I also had to disable LTO in the past (and on i486).
[20:50:44] <abaumann> So maybe that's an option to unqueue the queue.. :-)
[20:55:56] <deep42thought> do you think, the change will need to stay in glibc?
[20:58:42] <abaumann> Just noticed, there is no configure option to disable LTO. :-)
[20:58:57] <abaumann> I usually built the toolchain without LTO-support
[20:59:32] <abaumann> mmh. glibc is quite crutial..
[21:00:03] <deep42thought> can you check if it builds with gcc from [core]?
[21:00:13] <abaumann> yep. can do.
[21:00:18] <deep42thought> thanks
[21:00:40] <abaumann> but I would bet it's the latest and shiniest performance improvement in the toolchain breaking things. :-)
[21:00:45] <deep42thought> because: a) I think, we maybe built gcc too early (e.g. before glibc) and b) I'm quite busy currently
[21:01:06] <abaumann> gcc should be built before glibc.
[21:01:19] <deep42thought> not according to the comment in gcc's PKGBUILD
[21:01:21] <deep42thought> :-/
[21:01:24] <abaumann> ah?
[21:01:39] * deep42thought understands horribly few of what he is talking about here
[21:01:48] <abaumann> ok. lemme see :-)
[21:02:09] <deep42thought> # toolchain build order: linux-api-headers->glibc->binutils->gcc->binutils->glibc
[21:02:30] <abaumann> ah. ok. twice.
[21:02:34] <abaumann> that makes more sense.
[21:22:16] <abaumann> same old same with gcc 7.3.1 in [core]
[21:28:04] <deep42thought> ok, at least, it's not (purely) my incompetence, then :-D
[21:29:04] <abaumann> no :-)
[21:29:24] <abaumann> the sefault is in bfd_getl32..
[21:29:42] <abaumann> somewhere misinterpreting ELF stuff.
[21:30:05] <abaumann> not even sure, if it is LTO to blame. (I'm fast to blame it, as I really completly don't appreciate it)
[21:33:31] -!- isacdaavid has quit [Quit: Leaving.]
[21:40:14] <abaumann> so, either binutils 2.30 is broken, bintuils linked against glibc has a problem (I doubt) or glibc has a linking issue (I also doubt)..
[21:40:30] <abaumann> ..t'rrow then. :-)
[21:40:32] -!- abaumann has quit [Quit: leaving]
[21:40:52] <deep42thought> binutils is also new
[21:41:13] <deep42thought> good night, abaumann!
