[06:20:02] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[06:20:36] <abaumann> nvidia-390xx is supposed to go into long-term support till 2019. But it needs nvidia-utils to build (which is blacklisted).
[06:21:20] <abaumann> So we either blacklist all nvidia packages and push the latest PKGBUILDs to the AUR or we keep nvidia-utils.

[06:23:26] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[06:23:54] <deep42thought> abaumann: maybe we want something like nvidia-390xx-utils?
[06:29:43] -!- abaumann has joined #archlinux32
[06:29:43] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[06:30:20] <abaumann> deep42thought: there is a nvidia-390xx-utils, but it's not picked up by the 39xx packages as a provider for libgl
[06:30:48] <girls> "Provides : vulkan-driver opengl-driver nvidia-utils
[06:30:48] <girls> nvidia-390xx-libgl nvidia-libgl"
[06:31:16] <girls> should there be a "libgl" in that list?
[06:31:33] <abaumann> :: Repository testing
[06:31:33] <abaumann> 1) nvidia-340xx-utils
[06:31:33] <abaumann> :: Repository extra
[06:31:33] <abaumann> 2) libglvnd 3) nvidia-340xx-utils
[06:31:33] <abaumann> Enter a number (default=1):
[06:31:36] <abaumann> looking for conflicting packages...
[06:31:38] <abaumann> error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
[06:31:41] <abaumann> error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
[06:31:43] <abaumann> :: nvidia-390xx-utils and nvidia-340xx-utils are in conflict
[06:31:50] <abaumann> That's the error I get.
[06:32:01] <deep42thought> looks like an error
[06:32:15] <deep42thought> nvidia-390xx-utils should provide libgl, too, I think
[06:34:32] <abaumann> yep, compared to nvidia-34xx-utils, which provides libgl.

[06:43:56] <deep42thought> I would rather open an upstream bug report about this than patchin it ourself
[06:44:25] <deep42thought> there are quite some differences in the pkgbuilds of nvidia-340xx-utils and nvidia-390xx-utils, which I do not understand

[09:17:31] <Vollzornbrot> deep42thought: all okay?
[09:17:39] <deep42thought> yeah, all fine :-)
[09:17:52] <deep42thought> your build slaves do a major part of the building :-D
[09:18:12] <Vollzornbrot> okay, i know the machine is slow from time to time
[09:18:37] <deep42thought> doesn't matter - it's not about responsiveness, it's rather about continuous build work ;-)
[09:18:44] <Vollzornbrot> ;)
[09:55:00] <buildmaster> imagemagick is broken (says rechenknecht).

[11:41:17] <eschwartz> deep42thought: in theory this should work just like it did on my machine... Devtools has code to open the try, though software should really handle this in their own testsuite

[15:28:38] <tyzoid> tfw you run pacman -Syu on an ubuntu machine
[15:29:39] <deep42thought> !grab tyzoid
[15:29:39] <phrik> deep42thought: Tada!
[15:29:47] <deep42thought> tyzoid: why not symlink it to apt?
[15:30:02] <tyzoid> apt -Syu still doesn't work xD
[15:30:06] <tyzoid> it'd need to be an alias
[15:30:20] <deep42thought> propose a patch to apt?
[15:30:38] <tyzoid> I've got a mirror, how 'bout I repackage all of ubuntu for pacman xD
[15:30:49] <deep42thought> :-D
[15:31:08] <deep42thought> why only repackage? you can rebuild it!
[15:31:23] <tyzoid> lol
[15:31:54] <deep42thought> should I add an "distribution" flag to the packages on the buildmaster?
[15:32:59] <tyzoid> lol Archlinux-ubuntu
[15:33:54] <deep42thought> aubuntu?
