[13:49:47] <stevendale> Hey
[13:49:54] <stevendale> I am a proud supporter of Arch Linux 32
[13:50:03] <stevendale> I still use my 32-bit systems every day
[13:50:54] <stevendale> My Dell Inspiron 6000 from 2004, with 2 GB Dual Channel (2x1 GB) DDR2-SDRAM, a 60 GB PATA HDD, Intel GMA 915 graphics, an Intel Pentium M 740 @ 1.73 GHz with 1 core and 1 thread, a 1280x800 screen
[13:51:40] <stevendale> My Dell Inspiron 510m with 2 GB DDR2 RAM, an 80 GB PATA HDD, Intel 855GM graphics (aka Intel Extreme Graphics 2), an Intel Pentium M 725 @ 1.6 GHz 1 core & 1 thread, a 1024x768 screen
[13:52:43] <stevendale> And lastly my Optima Centorius G200 (not running arch, but planning to with a RAM upgrade), with 256 MB DDR-333 RAM, a 20 GB PATA HDD, ATI Radeon IGP 340M graphics, an Intel Pentium IV Mobile @ 2.20 GHz 1 core and 1 thread, and a 1024x768 screen
[13:54:33] <stevendale> They're all alive and still kicking, I've planned out a RAM upgrade for the Optima, replacement batteries for the Optima and Inspiron 510m, a PATA SSD for all of them, 802.11n 2.4 & 5 GHz Mini Conventional PCI wireless cards, a replacement official charger for the Optima
[13:55:10] <stevendale> Everybody I talk to tells me that it's a waste spending money upgrading them, but I don't listen
[13:55:13] <stevendale> OS: 64 bit Windows 10 Unknown Edition (125) (Version 10.0 Build 14393), CPU: 8 x Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz @ 2808 MHz 1024 KB Cache, MEM: 16265 MB, 85% (13770 MB) free, DISKS: total 1.14 TB - 1.12 TB free, GFX: Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 1024 MB, SCREEN: Generic PnP Monitor, 1920 x 1080 @ 32 bit, 60 Hz, AUDIO: Realtek High Definition Audio, UPTIME: 0 d, 10 h, 35 m
[13:55:25] <stevendale> I have this, they're not my main computer, so it's not 'Time for an upgrade'
[13:56:24] <stevendale> I already have this rig with 16 GB DDR4-2400, GTX 1060 3 GB graphics, a 256 GB SSD + 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD, an Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU, MSI gaming headphones, a Logitech gaming mouse and a 1920x1080 (1080p native) FHD, Anti-Glare display
[13:57:46] <stevendale> My Optima and Inspiron 510m do not declare PAE, thus I have to use the forcepae boot option on various distros, and sometimes X.org can be a pain, but they *work*, and considering their age, that's pretty impressive
[13:59:52] -!- stevendale has parted #archlinux32

[15:17:23] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[15:17:43] <abaumann> stevendale: glad things work for you. :-)
[15:17:58] <abaumann> BTW, there is a linux-pae module for PAE enabled machines.
[15:22:49] -!- abaumann has quit [Quit: leaving]
[15:45:16] -!- bulletmark has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[17:17:18] <tyzoid> btw, packages is down for a migration.
[18:02:37] -!- T`aZ has joined #archlinux32
[18:03:35] <T`aZ> hi, it seems since the last fuse release, im getting this error with encfs : fusermount: failed to access mountpoint .: Value too large for defined data type
[18:04:21] <T`aZ> this might be caused by fuse not being compiled with large_file_support, however packages.archlinux32.org is down :s
[18:09:44] <tyzoid> T`aZ: yeah, it's currently undergoing migration
[18:11:08] <T`aZ> ha, fine then
[18:11:27] <T`aZ> somehow, im discovering that there is a fuse2 AND fuse3
[18:12:25] <tyzoid> Yup, systemd
[18:12:31] <tyzoid> has some issues
[18:13:45] <tyzoid> T`aZ: packages.archlinux32.org is online again
[18:13:49] <tyzoid> you can ignore the warning for now
[18:14:57] <T`aZ> thx

[18:41:09] -!- sahasatvik__ has joined #archlinux32
[18:45:39] <T`aZ> i was wrong, it might be related to the new permission restriction in fuse2 , the mount() is failing
