[00:49:54] <buildmaster> i686/ocaml-yojson is broken (says buildknecht).

[02:04:06] <mfwitten> Hey! Howdy. Thanks for all your hard work. However, I'm not surprised the number of bugs in the tracker is so low; I can't seem to make a new entry. Firstly, I spent some time looking for a button, but found none; so, I tried the keyboard shortcuts and it still doesn't work. I went to my account settings, and I guess I don't have permission to create a new task. So... how do I get permission?
[02:32:25] -!- TomTheDragon has joined #archlinux32
[02:32:49] <TomTheDragon> Apparently archlinux32's still getting an i486 port?
[02:42:40] <buildmaster> i686/qca is broken (says rechenknecht).
[08:27:23] -!- deep42thought has joined #archlinux32
[08:27:23] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[08:27:24] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[08:27:26] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> arch32 is on the bleeding edge of arch, which is on the bleeding edge of software?
[08:27:42] <deep42thought> mfwitten: by asking us - you just got permission :-)
[08:28:17] <deep42thought> TomTheDragon: it's a work in progress - some packages are there, but many are not yet - all the graphics fun is still missing
[08:46:41] <deep42thought> bye, buildmaster, bye titus_livius

[08:54:02] * buildmaster resumes sanity.
[08:56:41] -!- abaumann has joined #archlinux32
[08:56:42] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[08:56:42] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[08:56:43] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> * abaumann wonders if raind is a good name for a system daemon..
[09:01:10] <abaumann> deep42thought: nice archival approach. So we can just generate tarballs in the future and store them on archive-server.archlinux32.org :-)
[09:02:10] <abaumann> I'm trying to solve the "systemd-X11-knot", in the very near future systemd will also have firefox as dependency..
[09:02:37] <abaumann> My i686 slave says: "mysqld is not running or build master is on halt, I will abort - whatever you try to do would probably fail anyway."
[09:03:59] -!- abaumann has quit [Quit: leaving]
[09:15:33] <deep42thought> abaumann: the tarballs are created on-demand, they're not stored (very inperformant)
[09:15:45] <deep42thought> the is-on-halt issue should disappear soon
[09:16:00] <deep42thought> it's a kill-switch I activated to safely reboot the buildmaster
[09:17:07] <deep42thought> ah, damn, I updated my i486 build slaves before rebooting them
[09:17:16] <deep42thought> now they don't start :-(
[09:56:23] <buildmaster> i686/kodi-addon-adsp-biquad-filters is broken (says rechenknecht).

[10:05:14] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[10:05:14] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[10:05:14] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> who would have thought digital books burn too. ;-)
[10:05:23] <abaumann> hi deep42thought
[10:05:41] <abaumann> yes, that's why I wanted to build systemd in the i486 bootstrap repo. :-)
[10:06:50] <deep42thought> my buildslaves are up and running again
[10:06:54] <deep42thought> (downgraded libidn)
[10:07:04] <deep42thought> and put it into IgnorePkg for now ...
[10:07:09] <abaumann> ..but of course it doesn't build.. see https://bugs.archlinux.org
[10:07:09] <phrik> Title:FS#60239 : [systemd] doesn't build (at bugs.archlinux.org)
[10:09:55] <deep42thought> a ci for the most important packages of archlinux would be really nice
[10:10:28] <abaumann> I have to jump once in a while to the bootstrap IRC channel of Arch. I have a hunch that this is already happening :-)
[10:12:36] <abaumann> I was also thinking about a 'docdepends' in addition to 'makedepends', 'checkdepends'..
[10:12:57] <abaumann> ..many problems are just there because packages insist to have documentation :-)
[10:13:04] <deep42thought> yeah
[10:13:16] <abaumann> I'm not opposing to that.. hell no.. just during bootstrapping this is not very useful..
[10:13:22] <deep42thought> while this would be really helpful for bootstrapping, I think, it would be overkill for day-to-day compiling
[10:14:23] <abaumann> that's exactly the problem. so it complicates the default for a corner case usage..
[10:15:00] <abaumann> but CI requires an automatized way to deal with it..
[10:15:54] <deep42thought> isn't CI simply: You updated "x"? Lets see if all dependent packages still work as expected!
[10:16:22] <abaumann> right. CI is not for bootstrapping..
[10:16:32] -!- woshty has joined #archlinux32
[10:16:41] <abaumann> but the "works as expected" could be hard to implement :-)
[10:17:23] <deep42thought> yeah
[10:17:38] <deep42thought> but for build tools like meson, it's simple: does it compile?
[10:18:43] <abaumann> For a build tool, yes. If every software using it still compiles (and maybe also runs?), then the build tool still works.
[10:22:00] <abaumann> BTW: systemd definitely start to have a problem, if it start to depend on X11.
[10:22:04] <abaumann> *starts
[10:22:19] <deep42thought> it does?
[10:22:51] <abaumann> libxkbcommon
[10:23:09] <abaumann> just a makedepends though.
[10:23:37] <deep42thought> the time will come, when headless machines will kick out systemd, because it comes with a desktop environment
[10:24:10] <abaumann> :-)
[10:24:51] <abaumann> ah.. now systemd builds with minimal patching on i486. :-)
[10:51:55] <abaumann> install: invalid group systemd-journal
[10:51:58] <abaumann> *grmpf*
[11:01:19] <deep42thought> this is some post install script failing?
[11:02:09] <deep42thought> sry for my slow responses, I'm learning mercurial currently
[11:02:17] <abaumann> now. it's in package()
[11:02:30] <abaumann> I checking if this also happens on 64-bit currently.
[11:02:38] <abaumann> hg, nice. :-)
[11:02:45] <deep42thought> for the archive-server
[11:02:53] <deep42thought> firefox is hg
[11:03:06] <deep42thought> firefox is not hg, its source is managed by hg
[11:04:14] <abaumann> mmh. my writting gets worse.. I have to do some cooking.. :-)
[11:04:48] <deep42thought> is it that your cooking is so bad, that it can't get worse or is it so good that you intend to improve your writing with it?
[11:06:06] <abaumann> lol
[11:06:33] <abaumann> I was hopping some calorie intake would improve my writting.. :-)
[11:06:42] <deep42thought> writting?
[11:06:45] <deep42thought> ;-)
[11:06:57] <deep42thought> go, eat some food!
[11:10:19] <abaumann> :-)
[11:14:48] <deep42thought> is it possible to archive to stdout with hg?
[11:19:06] <deep42thought> It is!
[11:25:15] <buildmaster> i686/kgoldrunner is broken (says buildknecht).
[11:27:17] <deep42thought> "hg archive" of firefox is _a_lot_ slower than "git archive" of the kernel
[12:07:50] <buildmaster> i686/kolf is broken (says buildknecht).
[12:26:42] <deep42thought> abaumann: do you have any opposition to my proposal in the archive-server branch of the builder?
