[08:14:53] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[08:14:54] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> one day, some genius will prove, that all programming languages are isomorphic and there is actually only _one_ compiler

[10:55:39] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[10:55:39] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> naa.. not testing never has bad consequences.. ;-)
[10:55:43] -!- abaumann has joined #archlinux32
[10:56:02] <abaumann> buildmaster: are you there?
[10:56:15] <deep42thought> buildmaster: what's up?
[10:56:19] <abaumann> lol
[10:56:22] <abaumann> hi deep42thought
[10:56:22] <deep42thought> *tick*
[10:56:26] <deep42thought> *tock*
[10:56:28] <deep42thought> *tick*
[10:56:31] <deep42thought> *tock*
[10:56:33] <abaumann> the channel was unusually silent..
[10:56:35] <deep42thought> Hi abaumann!
[10:56:44] <abaumann> node: symbol lookup error: node: undefined symbol: nghttp2_submit_origin
[10:56:51] -!- DCyrax has joined #archlinux32
[10:56:52] <abaumann> I think, nodejs needs a nudge.
[10:57:21] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[10:57:21] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[10:57:22] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> wasn't I saying something lately about setarch being broken? ;-)
[10:57:30] <buildmaster> up? I'm up for 1 day, 4 hours, 37 minutes, load average: 18.03, 15.79, 14.79
[10:57:36] <deep42thought> aha!
[10:57:38] <deep42thought> :-/
[11:13:01] <deep42thought> this libc thing you reported is the i486 version, right?
[11:13:05] <abaumann> https://bugs.archlinux32.org
[11:13:07] <phrik> Title:FS#57 : libc fails on AMD-K6 (at bugs.archlinux32.org)
[11:13:09] <abaumann> yes, just changed it.
[11:13:15] <deep42thought> :-)
[11:13:28] <abaumann> it's some special stuff in strcmp, which usually means SSE2, SSE, MMX optimizations.
[11:14:05] <abaumann> I'll intend to use bug reporting more. At the moment I have too many things lying around in my 'Archlinux32/todos/' directory in the form of chaotic text files..
[11:22:37] <deep42thought> so, both packages have been built on nlopc46-i486bs1
[11:24:07] -!- deep42thought has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[11:24:28] -!- deep42thought has joined #archlinux32
[11:25:14] <abaumann> ok. thanks.
[11:26:15] <abaumann> so.. you think it's the build slave?
[11:26:22] <deep42thought> no
[11:26:27] <deep42thought> _both_ have been built there
[11:26:31] <deep42thought> I was just checking
[11:26:35] <abaumann> ah.
[11:27:05] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[11:27:05] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[11:27:06] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> so you're a garbage collector?
[11:27:07] <abaumann> "$srcdir/glibc/configure" \
[11:27:07] <abaumann> --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu \
[11:27:14] <abaumann> in glibc/trunk/PKGBUILD
[11:27:38] <deep42thought> err, this seems wrong
[11:27:49] <deep42thought> diff of installed packages during build: https://ptpb.pw
[11:28:03] <abaumann> could be in the lib32-glibc part
[11:28:29] <deep42thought> it's in build()
[11:28:46] <deep42thought> "$srcdir/glibc/configure" \
[11:28:46] <deep42thought> --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu \
[11:28:46] <deep42thought> --libdir=/usr/lib32 \
[11:28:46] <deep42thought> --libexecdir=/usr/lib32 \
[11:28:46] <deep42thought> ${_configure_flags[@]}
[11:29:39] <abaumann> why did I miss that when bootstrapping i486?
[11:29:40] <deep42thought> we sed out that part
[11:29:45] <deep42thought> all fine
[11:29:51] <abaumann> ah. uff.
[11:29:55] <deep42thought> :-D
[11:30:06] <abaumann> OTOH, sad, would have been an easy explanation..
[11:30:24] <deep42thought> yeah
[11:30:26] <abaumann> libnghttp2 1.32.0-1.0 on stable, libnghttp2 1.34.0-1.0 on testing. nodejs seems to depend on the newer one..
[11:31:35] <deep42thought> they link both against libnghttp2.so.15
[11:31:37] <deep42thought> *14
[11:31:47] <deep42thought> do they miss symbols or what?
[11:34:24] <deep42thought> the load on the buildmaster is worrying
[11:34:55] <deep42thought> top
[11:34:57] <deep42thought> oops
[11:37:13] <abaumann> yes. the buildmaster is really choking right now.
[11:37:37] <abaumann> node: symbol lookup error: node: undefined symbol: nghttp2_submit_origin
[11:37:56] <abaumann> this must be a new function in 1.34
[11:38:06] <deep42thought> so they added a symbol w/o bumping the soname???
[11:38:50] <abaumann> the rule I think is, you can always add new functions in minor library updates.
[11:39:36] -!- DCyrax has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
[11:41:25] <abaumann> lunch. CU later. :-)
[11:41:35] <deep42thought> cu
[11:42:17] -!- T`aZ has joined #archlinux32
[11:55:39] <T`aZ> is there easy/quick help that could be done to help/improve the current (broken) state ?
[11:55:52] <deep42thought> what's broken?
[11:57:24] <T`aZ> psi is requesting libidn.so.11 ; qtcreator complains that the qt lib is incompatible
[11:58:08] <deep42thought> psi 1.3-7.0, right?
[11:58:46] <T`aZ> yes
[12:01:12] <deep42thought> I assume, you have qt* packages of version 5.11.2 and some of a lesser version, right?
[12:04:40] <T`aZ> qt5-webengine is at 5.11.1 & qt5-webkit at 5.212.0 (?)
[12:04:50] <deep42thought> huh?
[12:05:06] <deep42thought> oh, yes
[12:06:34] <deep42thought> I'll move psi and some qt5 packages from testing to stable
[12:06:47] <deep42thought> but expect it to take a while, the buildmaster currently has some hdd problems, it seems
[12:07:02] <T`aZ> no problem, thanks a lot for your work !
[12:07:18] <deep42thought> you can try to manually download and install the respective testing packages in the meantime
[12:07:23] <T`aZ> but how come this state is allowed to be, isn't there a sanity check on the packages dependencies ?
[12:07:27] <deep42thought> if you're looking for a "quick fix"
[12:07:42] <deep42thought> yes, there is, but versions of qt packages are not (yet) detected
[12:07:54] <deep42thought> I have no clue how to extract them from the packages
[12:08:22] <deep42thought> If I learn, how to do that, they'll be included in the mysql-database and this should[1] not happen again
[12:08:32] <deep42thought> 1] we might still break this by manually moving packages
[12:14:44] <deep42thought> afk, lunch
[13:28:10] -!- thePiGrepper has joined #archlinux32
[13:49:50] <deep42thought> abaumann: when you have a minute, maybe you can have a brief look at my sed-fu trying to extract provided/dependend symbols and their versions from libraries - it's in the so-version-stuff branch of the build scripts
[13:49:56] <deep42thought> I have to leave now
[13:49:57] <deep42thought> cu later

[16:24:02] <abaumann> elibrokeit: I found three packages which have failures in the PKGBUILD syntax; xf86-video-intel-dri3 (ERROR: install file (xf86-video-intel-dri3.install), haskell-array (ERROR: Missing package() function) and gtk-sharp-2 (ERROR: conflicts contains invalid characters: '#'). They are not visible on packages.archlinux.org, most likely just because --printsrcinfo is failing. Are those packages still
[16:24:08] <abaumann> active?
[16:25:13] -!- NoobAlice has joined #archlinux32
[16:25:21] <abaumann> correction: gtk-sharp-2 I can see, all those bugs are in git trunk.
[16:25:42] <elibrokeit> right, the other two don
[16:25:44] <elibrokeit> t exist
[16:26:04] <abaumann> aha. And when do they disappear in git trunk?
[16:26:20] <elibrokeit> when someone remembers they are supposed to svn rm in addition to db-remove
[16:26:27] <abaumann> oh. :-)
[16:26:45] <elibrokeit> cannot find haskell-array in svn either...
[16:26:53] <elibrokeit> wait
[16:26:59] <elibrokeit> right, it's in packages.git
[16:27:11] <elibrokeit> wut
[16:27:14] <elibrokeit> howwwwwww
[16:27:19] <elibrokeit> ghc is in community
[16:27:48] <abaumann> mmh. I should check some other git workspaces maybe, maybe the git workspace is borked?
[16:28:04] <elibrokeit> the directory exists from 2009
[16:28:11] <abaumann> ui. :-)
[16:29:28] <abaumann> ghc=6.12.1, yeah. that looks old
[16:30:50] <abaumann> gtk-sharp-2 looks quite fresh though..
[16:32:56] <abaumann> mmh.. I'm in bug-finding-mode today, it seems..
[16:33:11] <abaumann> tyzpoid: https://packages.archlinux32.org gibes me an Internal server error:

[18:21:45] <deep42thought> ... which they shouldn't
[18:22:24] <abaumann> the buildmaster recovered?
[18:22:30] <deep42thought> dunno
