[08:40:40] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[08:40:40] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[08:40:40] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> so you're a garbage collector?
[08:53:14] -!- abaumann has joined #archlinux32
[08:53:15] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[08:53:15] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[08:53:16] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> I gave up with cross-compiliation. So I downgraded a 64-bit installation to i486 and applied some hacks.
[08:55:58] -!- oaken-source has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds]
[09:31:31] -!- oaken-source has joined #archlinux32
[09:32:21] <abaumann> https://www.archlinux32.org has a broken image. Is the mirror generate script running somewhere?
[09:32:24] <phrik> Title: Arch Linux 32 (at www.archlinux32.org)
[09:33:13] <deep42thought> err
[09:33:17] <deep42thought> what should that site show?
[09:33:32] <abaumann> https://www.archlinux.org
[09:33:33] <phrik> Title: Arch Linux - Mirror Overview (at www.archlinux.org)
[09:33:37] <abaumann> hi deep42thought, btw :-)
[09:33:48] <deep42thought> hi (aka "where are my manners?")
[09:33:58] <deep42thought> the site is packages.archlinux32.org/mirrors/
[09:34:01] <deep42thought> for some reason :-D
[09:34:22] <abaumann> I really like some reasons..
[09:34:39] <deep42thought> actually, I have now all the powers to move it to archlinux32.org/mirrors
[09:34:42] <deep42thought> ... hmmm ...
[09:35:13] <deep42thought> we could move _everything_ to (www.)archlinux32.org
[09:35:23] <deep42thought> maybe not buildlogs, though
[09:35:58] <bill-auger> i like it when i can just add or remove the 32 from the URL and get the thing i expect
[09:36:04] <abaumann> what was more the issue, is this mirror generator script working for archlinux32 mirrors?
[09:36:19] <deep42thought> yes!
[09:36:34] <deep42thought> bill-auger: yes, we try that
[09:36:51] <abaumann> archweb32 is a clone of archweb, so the url should be pretty the same
[09:36:58] <deep42thought> but archlinux32.org has no php/mysql (so far) which is a requirement for running the package database and mirror stuff, etx.
[09:37:08] <deep42thought> abaumann: it's not
[09:37:13] <deep42thought> it's written from scratch
[09:37:18] <abaumann> oh.
[09:37:19] <abaumann> sorry.
[09:37:20] <bill-auger> for the packages, it actually works one diretions
[09:37:25] <deep42thought> only the _output_ is mimiced
[09:37:39] <bill-auger> that is: https://packages.archlinux.org will redirect
[09:37:40] <phrik> Title: Arch Linux - Package Search (at packages.archlinux.org)
[09:37:45] <deep42thought> yes
[09:37:52] <deep42thought> but archlinux32.org/packages won't work
[09:38:26] <deep42thought> we should really make this "adding 32 gets you from archlinux to archlinux32" true for everything there is
[09:39:15] <bill-auger> it generally works with arm also https://archlinuxarm.org
[09:39:17] <phrik> Title: Packages | Arch Linux ARM (at archlinuxarm.org)
[09:39:47] <deep42thought> yeah, it's a good idea/feature/wish
[09:40:05] <abaumann> Something for the every-growing todo list. :-)
[09:40:15] <bill-auger> yep love those
[09:41:23] <abaumann> the reason I'm mentioning the mirrors is, my mirror was away for 6 hours or so and caused some packages to fail..
[09:41:24] <bill-auger> reminds me of a bug report i got on github recently - the person wrote like "that should be on the wiki"
[09:41:40] <bill-auger> so i replied "yes it would be awesome if someone did that"
[09:41:55] <abaumann> :-)
[09:41:57] <deep42thought> lol
[09:49:39] <buildmaster> i686/flashplugin is broken (says rechenknecht).
[10:00:07] <deep42thought> does upstream have something like our pkgapi.archlinux32.org ?
[10:09:24] -!- woshty has joined #archlinux32
[10:14:18] <abaumann> yarn install v1.13.0
[10:14:20] <abaumann> make: *** [Makefile:133: ember-dist] Segmentation fault (core dumped)
[10:14:25] <abaumann> sounds familiar..
[10:14:29] <deep42thought> yup
[10:14:48] <abaumann> so, this is nodejs which is broken?
[10:15:07] <deep42thought> I only know these commands from the build logs ...
[10:15:20] <abaumann> aha. yea. cordumpctl shows me /usr/bin/node
[10:25:08] <abaumann> # Check failed: cpu.has_sse2().
[10:25:12] <abaumann> love this one :-)
[10:25:29] <deep42thought> who checks that?
[10:25:38] <abaumann> --> Installing JavaScript assets
[10:25:39] <deep42thought> nodejs when running?
[10:25:44] <abaumann> vault.
[10:25:49] <abaumann> * abaumann shrugs
[10:26:32] <abaumann> Tried to build vauult on staging to reproduce the segfault..
[10:27:10] <deep42thought> ok, even better: it does not segfault, it does not build instead :-D
[10:27:33] <abaumann> :-)
[10:29:33] <deep42thought> https://i.redd.it
[10:29:37] <deep42thought> found it :-)
[10:30:03] -!- charims has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds]
[10:31:11] <abaumann> very secure software ;-)
[10:31:19] <abaumann> node::fs::FSReqCallback::~FSReqCallback() (), uv.work_done () from /usr/lib/libuv.so.1
[10:31:28] <abaumann> yes. this is the same as in the mailing list with gyp.
[10:31:56] <abaumann> so, every network operation using livuv in node results in a segfault while cleanup up a callback object.
[10:32:18] <abaumann> it's on my todo list for a long time now..
[10:32:46] <abaumann> * abaumann looks at his hands.. counts them.. shakes his head and sighs about the fact he cannot grow some more..
[10:33:02] <deep42thought> !grab abaumann
[10:33:03] <phrik> deep42thought: Tada!
[10:33:25] <abaumann> maybe CRISPR? ;-)
[10:34:26] <deep42thought> radioactivity might solve your problem, too
[10:34:40] <abaumann> yeah. but only in a random way. :-)

[11:37:14] -!- buildmaster has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
[11:37:31] -!- buildmaster has joined #archlinux32
[11:37:39] <deep42thought> buildmaster: what's up?
[11:37:40] <buildmaster> up? I'm up for 6 days, 4 hours, 49 minutes, load average: 1.28, 1.09, 0.79
[11:39:48] -!- charims has joined #archlinux32
[11:49:04] <rhqq> how far behing normal arch this one is? (meaning packages)
[11:49:22] <deep42thought> this strongly depends on the package
[11:49:39] <deep42thought> some packages are almost-immediately updated (when they become stable upstream)
[11:49:41] <rhqq> do i get bsd-style 6~12mo or less?
[11:50:00] <deep42thought> but some (like firefox) fail to compile for quite some time
[11:50:19] <deep42thought> text-only packages are available pretty fast
[11:50:45] <deep42thought> graphical packages tend to become fancier and more optimized - which means, they develop issues on i686
[11:51:01] <deep42thought> which makes them fall behind
[11:51:18] <deep42thought> usually, we blacklist packages, that have fallen behind quite some time
[11:51:26] <deep42thought> (see electron/electron2)
[11:51:28] <rhqq> ouch
[11:51:55] <rhqq> i guess 32bits are slowly but steadily dying
[11:52:07] <deep42thought> at least on the desktop front, yes
[11:56:23] <bill-auger> much less like "dying", removing electron is like removing a cancerous tumor
[11:56:34] <deep42thought> !grab bill-auger
[11:56:36] <phrik> deep42thought: Tada!
[11:56:44] <bill-auger> TADA
[11:57:00] <deep42thought> but still it seems the tumor becomes more and more vital for a healthy linux system ;-)
[12:03:13] -!- charims has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds]
[12:36:32] <deep42thought> in case anyone likes testing the new website: archlinux32.org/packages/ archlinux32.org/mirrors/ archlinux32.org/buildmaster/ and archlinux32.org/pkgapi/ should now work
[12:36:43] <deep42thought> I'll set the links to those pages from the main page after lunch
[12:49:26] <buildmaster> i686/analitza is broken (says rechenknecht).
[12:50:23] <buildmaster> i686/artikulate is broken (says nlopc46).
[12:51:12] <buildmaster> i686/baloo-widgets are broken (says rechenknecht).
[12:51:18] <bill-auger> deep42thought: they are all good but the api
[12:52:31] <buildmaster> i686/grantleetheme is broken (says rechenknecht).
[12:52:52] <bill-auger> the example link at https://archlinux32.org leads to https://archlinux32.org but that does not looks like an API response
[12:52:54] <phrik> Title: Arch Linux 32 (at archlinux32.org)
[12:53:39] <bill-auger> curl https://archlinux32.org doesnt work wither
[12:53:40] <phrik> Title: Arch Linux 32 (at archlinux32.org)
[13:23:48] <deep42thought> ah, probably the / missing at the end
[13:31:02] <bill-auger> yep thats the thing
[13:31:20] <bill-auger> with the triling slask it gave me some JSON
[13:31:41] <deep42thought> :-)
[13:53:52] <buildmaster> i686/akonadi-notes are broken (says rechenknecht).

[14:50:53] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[14:50:54] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[14:50:55] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> * abaumann wonders if raind is a good name for a system daemon..
[14:51:19] <abaumann> deep42thought: https://archlinux32.org kiijs very nice :-)
[14:51:20] <phrik> Title: Arch Linux 32 - Mirror Overview (at archlinux32.org)
[15:03:07] <deep42thought> packages.archlinux32.org is now served from archlinux32.org (polichronucci's server), too
[15:03:20] <deep42thought> this made the website repository obsolete - which is now merged into archweb32
[15:04:34] <deep42thought> abaumann: can you change the redirection from buildmaster.archlinux32.org -> packages.archlinux32.org/buildmaster to archlinux32.org/buildmaster ?
[15:05:49] <deep42thought> ah, I think, I found the option in httpd
[15:08:44] <abaumann> deep42thought: sorry, ah, yes, you found and changed it. :-)
[15:09:11] <abaumann> https://packages.archlinux32.org gives me a certificate error though..
[15:09:19] <deep42thought> something is still wrongly redirected, though
[15:09:28] <deep42thought> that's the wrong site
[15:09:35] <deep42thought> it should be archlinux32.org/buildmaster
[15:09:44] <abaumann> ah. the browser caches the redirect..
[15:10:13] <deep42thought> no
[15:10:17] <deep42thought> it's https vs http
[15:10:21] <deep42thought> http redirects correctly
[15:10:23] <deep42thought> https does not
[15:10:45] <deep42thought> curl -I https://buildmaster.archlinux32.org
[15:10:45] <deep42thought> Location: https://packages.archlinux32.org
[15:11:00] <deep42thought> curl -I http://buildmaster.archlinux32.org
[15:11:00] <abaumann> extra/httpd-ssl.conf
[15:11:00] <deep42thought> Location: https://archlinux32.org
[15:11:01] <phrik> Title: Buildmaster for Archlinux32 packages (i686, any) (at buildmaster.archlinux32.org)
[15:11:02] <phrik> Title: Buildmaster for Archlinux32 packages (i686, any) (at archlinux32.org)
[15:11:04] <abaumann> Redirect "/index.html" "https://packages.archlinux32.org/buildmaster/"
[15:11:47] <abaumann> looking better?
[15:12:04] <deep42thought> yes :-)
[15:12:06] <deep42thought> thanks :-)
[15:12:08] <abaumann> np
[15:12:18] <deep42thought> as I might have mentioned: I'm not very familiar with apache
[15:12:42] <abaumann> yeah. and I should remove things from the httpd-ssl.conf and make a sites-ssl.d
[15:12:52] <abaumann> I like the Debianish style more..
[15:13:10] <abaumann> so you can keep every virtual host in a separate file and you don't clutter the main configuration files
[15:13:20] <abaumann> I'll change that..
[15:29:04] <abaumann> apachectl -S shows you the current config, including in which file which virtual host is configured. apachectl -t tests the config.
[15:29:10] <abaumann> I changed now..
[15:29:44] <deep42thought> I never got used to those "test your config" and "show current config" tools - although they're pretty handy
[15:30:05] <deep42thought> "systemctl cat $service" is also sometimes handy ...
[15:30:20] <abaumann> yeah. true.
[15:33:01] <abaumann> I really don't like the default layout of Apache in Arch..
[15:33:13] <deep42thought> https://buildmaster.archlinux32.org is failing now
[15:33:17] <abaumann> I know.
[15:33:21] <abaumann> duplicate VirtualHost
[15:33:30] <abaumann> so. now. :-)
[15:33:36] <deep42thought> \o/
[15:34:08] <abaumann> mmh. the small traffic gif is broken in https://archlinux32.org
[15:34:09] <phrik> Title: Buildmaster for Archlinux32 packages (i686, any) (at archlinux32.org)
[15:34:19] <abaumann> https://archlinux32.org
[15:34:41] <deep42thought> this is the wrong url
[15:34:43] <abaumann> wouldn't make much sense now anyway, as it measures the traffic on the buildmaster, I assume.
[15:34:50] <deep42thought> it should be buildmaster.archlinux32.org/vnstat.png
[15:35:00] <deep42thought> it _does_ make sense
[15:35:14] <deep42thought> the buildmaster looks at all packages that are moved to the master mirror
[15:35:32] <deep42thought> this was a bottleneck on rewbycraft's old buildmaster
[15:35:38] <abaumann> ah. ok.
[15:36:24] <abaumann> So, it should be an absolute URL now to https://buildmaster.archlinux32.org
[15:36:32] <abaumann> which gets a redirect again.. ohoh
[15:37:01] <abaumann> aha.
[15:37:21] <deep42thought> there are some files which should be provided by the buildmaster
[15:37:28] <deep42thought> some static html pages talking about sanity
[15:37:29] <abaumann> yes. 'Redirect' is too stupid for allmost everything.. I'll switch to mod_rewrite
[15:37:30] <deep42thought> the build logs
[15:37:35] <deep42thought> and the vnstat image
[15:37:50] <deep42thought> huh? It has been working before
[15:38:22] <abaumann> Anyway. I have to make exceptions for .well-known/acme-challenge and stuff anyway
[15:38:37] <abaumann> RewriteRule ^/$ https://archlinux32.org [R]
[15:38:38] <phrik> Title: Buildmaster for Archlinux32 packages (i686, any) (at archlinux32.org)
[15:38:40] <abaumann> is better anyway
[15:39:23] <abaumann> so.
[15:40:10] <deep42thought> yup, looks good
[15:40:18] <abaumann> :-)
[15:42:10] <abaumann> https://buildmaster.archlinux32.org has nice little peak for tx during the borg backup at 7:00 :-)
[15:42:29] <deep42thought> :-D
[15:42:33] <abaumann> I'm really happy with the hoster..
[15:43:03] <deep42thought> though, only 3MBit/s peak
[15:43:21] <abaumann> yeah. my downlink at home is not that fast. :-)
[15:43:28] <deep42thought> here is the backup peak at 4 o'clock: https://jeti100.ioq.uni-jena.de
[15:43:29] <abaumann> it's throthtled on my side.
[15:43:41] <deep42thought> np
[15:43:46] <abaumann> wow. yeah.
[15:46:36] <buildmaster> i686/libcerf is broken (says eurobuild3).
