[00:02:32] <isacdaavid> could anyone else try to launch qbittorrent 4.1.5-2.0 ?
[00:02:50] <isacdaavid> i get an error trying to find libQt5Core.so.5
[00:03:31] <isacdaavid> ldd says $(which qbittorrent) is broken
[00:04:34] <isacdaavid> even though /usr/lib/libQt5Core.so.5 exists
[00:04:44] <isacdaavid> i am confused
[00:06:34] <elibrokeit> isacdaavid: what is the output of uname -a

[00:17:51] <isacdaavid> elibrokeit: thanks, i found the problem (old kernel)
[00:19:13] <elibrokeit> indeed, because qt5 has been built with the assumption that your kernel is at least 4.11 -- this is needed for statx support
[00:19:43] <elibrokeit> it is possible to build qt5-base-nostatx from the AUR, if you truly need an old kernel...
[00:22:31] <isacdaavid> i think it was linux 4.11 that dropped support for hardware virtualisation for this cpu. that's why i was using 4.9 lts
[00:22:59] -!- guys has joined #archlinux32
[00:23:05] <isacdaavid> not that i run VMs every day anyway. would rather please qt
[00:26:10] <bill-auger> and just why is isacdaavid running archlinux - hmm? - i see how you are
[00:27:26] <bill-auger> RMS, tell the Great Gnu we lost one :)
[00:29:32] <isacdaavid> bill-auger: but i'm not. i came here bc parabola is pulling qbittorrent from archlinux32 :)
[00:31:29] <bill-auger> its no shame - i have arch32 installed on my hardware right now
[00:32:13] <bill-auger> for that matter i have windows 10 installed too but i have never actually booted it
[00:32:45] <bill-auger> i wonder if it is withering

[10:16:51] <deep42thought> abaumann: there was a reason to have the upstream checksum fixed in core/filesystem: This way, we get noticed when upstream changes something about their os-release (which they did).
[10:17:19] <deep42thought> otoh, it is wrong of the build slaves to build _unmodified_ packages if the checksu ... oh
[10:17:20] <deep42thought> wait
[10:17:22] <deep42thought> damn
[10:17:57] <deep42thought> if the checksum is not replaced, then it tries to download the source by hash and eventually ends up downloading the original file
[10:26:50] <deep42thought> ok, this way it should work: If the checksum is found, it will be replaced. If it is not found, it will be appended, so pacman will fail with some serious error no matter what source files are available/downloaded
