[09:05:22] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[09:05:23] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> arch32 is on the bleeding edge of arch, which is on the bleeding edge of software?
[09:14:18] -!- thePiGrepper has joined #archlinux32
[09:17:46] <bill-auger> i actually had a windows laptop that came with a sticker near the card slots indicating its "speed boost" technology - the manual said you could plug in a memory card to increase your RAM
[09:18:06] <bill-auger> a 2007 memory card
[09:28:35] <deep42thought> so that's a feature worth advertising, then: extensible RAM?
[09:30:22] -!- thePiGrepper has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds]
[09:32:15] -!- thePiGrepper has joined #archlinux32
[09:46:35] <bill-auger> yep the laptop only came stock with 1GB RAM, but pre-loaded with Vista which ran like a dog with less than 2 GB RAM so that was an attractive marketing feature

[13:52:46] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[13:52:46] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[13:52:46] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> singularity applied to software development - releases and changes get faster and faster.. till..
[13:58:02] -!- oaken-source has joined #archlinux32
[14:05:10] <abaumann> deep42thought: no all slaves are dead.
[14:05:18] <deep42thought> oh
[14:05:24] <deep42thought> I'm working on nlopc46's / currently
[14:05:29] <abaumann> ah.
[14:05:30] <deep42thought> so this one is a "known" downie
[14:05:34] <abaumann> ok.
[14:05:38] <abaumann> so, let me check mine..
[14:05:56] <abaumann> [root@eurobuild3 ~]# uptime 14:05:49 up 6:28, 2 users, load average: 0.52, 0.28, 0.16
[14:05:59] <abaumann> aa.
[14:06:05] <abaumann> BTW, I put a mytop onto the buildmaster.
[14:06:13] <abaumann> I want to see, what uses 100% CPU all the time
[14:06:21] <deep42thought> mysql most probably
[14:06:25] <abaumann> LOL
[14:06:36] <abaumann> hence mytop :-)
[14:06:58] <abaumann> why did my machine boot? *puzzle&
[14:07:26] <deep42thought> you're talking about hte buildmaster?
[14:07:29] <abaumann> nope
[14:07:31] <abaumann> my slave.
[14:07:32] <deep42thought> I rebooted it due to kernel update
[14:07:43] <abaumann> the buildmaster I DO know who is booting it. :-)
[14:07:44] <deep42thought> ah, I don't have access _there_ (yet) ;-P
[14:07:47] <deep42thought> :-D
[14:08:09] <abaumann> yeah, and the 486 one had a memory boo boo..
[14:14:06] <deep42thought> ah, mytop is top for mariadb
[14:14:14] <abaumann> yep
[14:14:28] <deep42thought> well, I can tell you what uses 100% cpu: CALL `calculate_maximal_moveable_set`
[14:14:40] <deep42thought> which takes ~5-10 Minutes to complete
[14:14:58] <abaumann> deeply recursive thingy?
[14:15:21] <deep42thought> it's somewhat-recursive and then runs in a loop until nothing changes anymore
[14:15:30] <deep42thought> each iteration of the loop takes ~30-60 seconds
[14:17:29] <abaumann> mmh. I see a big difference in top and in mytop
[14:28:02] <abaumann> ok. my slaves are up and working again..
[14:28:27] <deep42thought> nlopc46 should be up and running again any minute now, too
[14:51:28] -!- ubuntuxp has parted #archlinux32
[15:06:20] <deep42thought> ah, I know, why so many build slaves are idling
[15:06:51] <deep42thought> they try to pull from git.archlinux32.org (the build scripts) and possibly time out on the ssl error or something before moving on to other remotes
[15:07:00] <abaumann> ah, ok.
[15:07:22] <abaumann> do my slave got to a different git?
[15:07:52] <deep42thought> ah, plus that: "Repository archlinux32 does not contain commit e6280ef9d39e4c7c60264f9404325d6331aa6ad9, but it should."
[15:08:20] <abaumann> rollback or something?
[15:08:24] <deep42thought> no
[15:08:29] <deep42thought> it's not getting the updates
[15:08:36] <deep42thought> because it tries to pull them via https
[15:08:47] <deep42thought> >.<
[15:24:01] <deep42thought> we should introduce the archlinux32 content-delivery-network solely for our git repositories :-D

[22:30:21] <oaken-source> guys, your gitlab instance is currently unavailable
[22:30:35] <oaken-source> git.archlinux32.org uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on March 19, 2019, 3:29 PM. The current time is March 22, 2019, 9:29 PM.
[22:32:32] <deep42thought> oaken-source: we know
[22:32:37] <deep42thought> use git2.archlinux32.org for now
[22:32:44] <deep42thought> (it's read-only, though)
[22:32:51] <oaken-source> thanks :)
[22:32:59] <oaken-source> read-only is exactly what I need
[22:33:02] <deep42thought> ... or ignore the cert error :-/
[22:34:04] <oaken-source> can't
[22:34:21] <oaken-source> This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that IceCat may only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.
[22:34:35] <deep42thought> ah, right ...
