[03:21:17] <p-z> Anyone Online?
[03:49:08] <p-z> Hi, what's the difference between the "i686 only" iso and the "dual bootable" iso on the Arch32 download page.
[04:30:36] <thePiGrepper> the 'dual bootable' iso it's basically the old iso that was released by upstream Arch, containing both, the i686 and x64 builds. now, they dont support i686, so arch32 keeps releasing that 'dual bootable' iso, instead.

[07:18:38] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[07:18:38] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[07:18:39] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> naa.. not testing never has bad consequences.. ;-)
[07:25:07] <abaumann> deep42thought: concering lua-sdl2, upstream could start to check versions on check-in and see if a decrease of versions correctly uses a new epoch :-)
[07:25:32] <abaumann> otherwise our buildmaster plays "canary in the mine"
[07:27:00] <buildmaster> pentium4/haskell-hspec-meta is broken (says eurobuild6-1) - I rescheduled: haskell-quickcheck-io: https://archlinux32.org
[07:33:22] -!- thePiGrepper has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds]
[07:53:49] <abaumann> ./db-update -w -o i686/staging doesn' do anything?
[07:54:21] <abaumann> is there a community-staging for this command or is it part of staging?
[08:21:22] -!- deep42thought has joined #archlinux32
[08:21:22] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[08:21:22] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[08:21:23] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> I've read, that the new cairo may add huuuugeeee spacing t o e a c h l e t t e r
[08:21:29] <deep42thought> good morning, abaumann
[08:22:09] <deep42thought> db-update -o takes stabilities, not repositories - e.g. "testing" means [testing]/[community-testing] and "staging" means [staging]/[community-staging]
[08:25:59] <nit-picker> package libiec61883-1.2.0-5.2-i686.pkg.tar.xz has an invalid signature.
[08:26:45] <deep42thought> looks ok to me O.o
[08:26:52] <deep42thought> ah, dammit
[08:27:16] <deep42thought> I just updated the archlinux keyring, probably that's the cause (racing)
[08:29:04] <abaumann> morning deep42thought
[08:29:29] <abaumann> ah. ok. so it works on stabilities.
[08:29:54] <abaumann> that nothing gets moved fits to my observation that packages just accumulate currently and don't get moved..
[08:30:22] <deep42thought> it would be nice to have the why-dont-you script working again :-(
[08:30:30] <abaumann> 6839 packages in staging,, 2584 in testing, 1204 to go
[08:30:34] <abaumann> or so
[08:30:35] <deep42thought> O.o
[08:30:38] <abaumann> yes.
[08:30:45] <deep42thought> just move them all
[08:30:48] <abaumann> aeh.
[08:30:55] <abaumann> remember my last -p?
[08:31:00] <deep42thought> :-/
[08:31:15] <abaumann> I don't think much more will break.. but.
[08:31:34] <abaumann> a db-update -p from staging to testing only?
[08:31:39] <deep42thought> yes
[08:31:54] <deep42thought> that's what you intended -o for, I thought
[08:32:07] <abaumann> yeah. didn't know you can combine it with -p
[08:32:16] <deep42thought> you can combine with anything
[08:32:18] <deep42thought> (even -f)
[08:32:32] -!- titus_livius has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[08:33:16] <abaumann> ok. so my thinking was: do a staging->testing -p, then test there. then report tested packages back from testing and hope things start to get pushed to stable in the normal way again.
[08:33:21] <abaumann> sounds reasonable?
[08:34:02] <deep42thought> doesn't sound reasonable, but sounds like the way we should go
[08:34:16] <deep42thought> why should testing->stable work when staging->testing does not
[08:34:25] <deep42thought> but anyways: we should do it that way (for now)
[08:34:51] <abaumann> yeah. most likely we end up in a staging==testing situation and stable remains the same
[08:35:04] <abaumann> but maybe not.. :-)
[08:35:20] <deep42thought> yes, it's worth a trial
[08:35:20] -!- titus_livius has joined #archlinux32
[08:36:08] <deep42thought> I hope I didn't critically interrupt return-assignment when rebooting the master mirror :-/
[08:37:07] <abaumann> we'll find out..
[08:37:20] <abaumann> so. pushing staging of i486 as a test
[08:47:04] <buildmaster> pentium4/haskell-drbg is broken (says eurobuild6-5) - I rescheduled: haskell-crypto-api-tests: https://archlinux32.org
[09:03:54] <abaumann> mmh, some 10 odd packages for i486, some 400 for i686.. (stable->testing)

[09:08:57] <buildmaster> pentium4/sagemath is broken (says rechenknecht): https://archlinux32.org

[10:02:40] <abaumann> mmh. all Gnome is giving me is it cannot start modprobe: FATAL: Module nvidia not found in directory /lib/modules/5.2.9-arch1-1.0-ARCH
[10:02:43] <abaumann> eglGetDisplay() failed
[10:02:45] <abaumann> gnome-session-check-accelerated: GLES Helper exited with code 256
[10:02:52] <abaumann> and an "oops something went wrong screen"
[10:02:59] <abaumann> this is really customer service. :->
[10:03:47] <abaumann> KDE has issues around Qt API mixups, as usual.
[10:04:05] <abaumann> On i686 both have issues with SSE2, but we knew that.
[10:05:11] <abaumann> KDE does some extensive logging to journalctl, effectively killing virtual machines. I don't know where that comes from, but it explains maybe complains of people in the forum that things are slow..
[10:07:32] * buildmaster goes insane.
[10:07:37] <abaumann> oh please
