[06:20:45] <girls> i486^
[06:21:57] <girls> before that it seemed to be swapping like hell (*everything* froze - besides routing pings)

[06:24:40] <phrik> buildmaster: <buildmaster> I might be insane, but never confused ... ;-)
[06:29:47] <girls> hmm, it does not *have* any swap
[06:30:09] * girls consider following windows' advice and adding a usb stick as swap ...

[07:09:38] <svenstaro> hi guys, we set up a new mirror in germany for you guys and would like you to add a dns to that
[07:10:05] <svenstaro> it's ger.mirror.pkgbuild.com, ipv4 only I'm afraid: 159.122.70.8
[07:10:29] <svenstaro> it's already syncing and everything so once you allow it, it'll get a TLS certificate and start receiving/serving data
[07:17:48] -!- deep42thought has joined #archlinux32
[07:17:49] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[07:17:49] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[07:17:51] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> I like to move it, move it; I like to move it, move it
[07:17:56] <deep42thought> Hi svenstaro!
[07:17:59] <deep42thought> thanks!
[07:18:26] <svenstaro> tell me once it's added
[07:18:27] <deep42thought> we don't have official domains for mirrors, just use what you deem appropriate and I'll add it to our mirrorlist
[07:24:34] <deep42thought> ah, now I see - we made official subdomains for archlinux mirrors serving archlinux32 :-)
[07:24:39] <deep42thought> let me create one for you
[07:26:10] <deep42thought> ok, go with ger.mirror.archlinux32.org
[07:26:19] <deep42thought> (in contrast to de.mirror.archlinux32.org hehe)
[07:47:32] -!- Buran has quit [Quit: https://www.youtube.com
[07:52:56] <svenstaro> well we use the international names
[07:53:37] <deep42thought> yeah, it's fine - I was just noting, that we already *had* a de.mirror.archlinux32.org
[07:55:44] <svenstaro> and I was noting that now we made it awkward and inconsistent for you guys
[07:55:46] <svenstaro> you're welcome
[08:03:50] <svenstaro> looking good
[08:04:18] <deep42thought> yes, thank you!
[08:04:45] <svenstaro> it's a little bit slow but oh well
[08:05:57] <deep42thought> that's not a problem, I think
[08:08:12] <deep42thought> you are only syncing directories? the files in / are missing - is this intentional or are they yet to come

[08:48:08] <deep42thought> ah, ok, everything looks fine now - probably just needed some more time :-)
[09:12:03] -!- Buran has joined #archlinux32
[09:12:25] <svenstaro> deep42thought: rsync does dirs first and files then
[09:13:16] <deep42thought> yeah, I was thinking, you might have added some parameters to sync rsync://$remote*/ or so - but it appears I was just too unpatient ;-)
[09:15:46] <svenstaro> as I said, sync was slow :P
[09:15:57] <svenstaro> and now please let us burn some bandwidth
[09:16:03] <svenstaro> we've way too much :P
[09:16:13] <deep42thought> you're already on the mirrorlist :-)
[09:16:59] <deep42thought> it still needs to traverse through our repositories, though

[10:28:09] <deep42thought> mysql is a truely miraculous database: there are failing foreign key constraints - but it does not complain, unless you try to update any other information of that bogus row
[10:33:20] <T`aZ> you are missing "on update/delete" clauses ?
[10:33:25] <deep42thought> no

[10:34:02] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[10:34:06] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[10:34:06] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> I've read, that the new cairo may add huuuugeeee spacing t o e a c h l e t t e r
[10:34:10] <deep42thought> https://stackoverflow.com
[10:34:12] <phrik> Title: mysql - Force InnoDB to recheck foreign keys on a table/tables? - Stack Overflow (at stackoverflow.com)
[10:34:17] <deep42thought> probably something similar to that ^
[10:34:40] <deep42thought> (sry, my instant messenger crashes, when it needs to re-linebreak urls ...)
[10:36:00] <T`aZ> i just know i've lost enough hours of my life with mysql to never touch it again
[10:36:54] <deep42thought> tja, some database-noob once thought, it would be a great idea to put all the packages and their sources and dependencies, etc. into a huge mysql database :-)
[10:37:25] <deep42thought> and now I'm left with the crap, that my past-self has created
[10:38:22] <T`aZ> throwing crap away and starting on a better base is often the best sollution, even if time is wasted at the start, it's gained after a while ot not deal with crap later :p
[10:39:37] <deep42thought> I know
[10:39:46] <deep42thought> but actually, mysql is not *that* crappy ;-)
[10:40:06] <deep42thought> one could just have chosen a better database at the start
[10:40:28] <deep42thought> (though, I was told, there is not much mysql-specific about my sql commands, so it should work on pretty much any database)

[11:06:40] <deep42thought> just in case anyone wonders: We had a bug in db-update (which is now squashed) which made the buildmaster not-move packages of "any" architecture. I wonder, how we didn't notice for a quite long time ...
[11:16:21] <deep42thought> (just some clarification: the bug is squashed, not db-update)
[11:16:23] <deep42thought> :_D

[17:02:12] <girls> it only occupies 3MB (1% of the total memory) before it freezes and get killed by who known whom
