[06:34:09] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[06:34:10] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[06:34:11] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> wow: my first wayland experience of the blury kind (in libvirt).. there is a small black line moving from the top to the bottom of the screen.. an homage to old CRT monitors, I suppose. ;-)
[06:52:44] <buildmaster> i486/libxslt is broken (says nlopc46-i486bs0): https://archlinux32.org
[07:03:03] <buildmaster> i686/haskell-tidal is broken (says nlopc46): https://archlinux32.org

[07:52:44] <buildmaster> i686/haskell-yesod-test is broken (says nlopc46): https://archlinux32.org
[08:04:41] <abaumann> I'm getting a pacman-mirrorlist-20200410 package installed, no mirrorlist.pacnew, this is really weird.
[08:05:19] <abaumann> My mirrorlist is still the same, so the update provides an unchanged mirrorlist?
[08:11:01] <abaumann> libxslt shows interesting behaviour: somehow the docbook catalog is not ok, so on 32-bit it tries to download a docbook DTD for regeneration of the manpage of xsltproc. This could indicate a problem deep down in the installation of the XML catalogues or in libxslt itself..
[08:13:29] <abaumann> also interesting, on 32-bit the xsltproc manpage looks.. well.. interesting.
[08:13:43] <abaumann> so also regeneration of it in the past didn't really produce the right results..
[08:13:50] <abaumann> who is still using docbook anyway?

[08:18:28] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> I like ignoring systemd, but: why?
[08:18:32] <deep42thought> Hi abaumann!

[08:22:43] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> !grab abaumann
[08:22:52] <abaumann> hi again. :-)
[08:22:55] <deep42thought> the april mirrorlist should contain the greece and the clarkson mirror
[08:23:05] <deep42thought> sry, pidgin crashed again on inserting a url
[08:23:23] <abaumann> yep, it does
[08:23:46] <deep42thought> so it's ok
[08:23:50] <abaumann> I'm just so used to getting a mirrorlist.pacnew that I miss it, when I don't get it. :-)
[08:24:23] <deep42thought> but you do install pacman-mirrorlist and not my pacman-mirrorlist-ewe?
[08:24:32] <abaumann> yes.
[08:24:38] <deep42thought> because I specifically created the latter to not have pacnews each time :-)
[08:25:06] <abaumann> maybe pacman has magic auto-merge-capabitities now? ;-)
[08:25:15] <deep42thought> :-)
[08:25:38] <deep42thought> "auto-merge" sounds like it will be an "auto-fuckup" in 1 of 10 cases
[08:26:15] <abaumann> definitely
[08:27:12] <deep42thought> maybe, there is some auto-auto-fuckup-repair
[08:27:20] * deep42thought wonders how deep this can go

[09:39:27] <buildmaster> i486/rime-cantonese is broken (says eurobuild6-7-i486): https://archlinux32.org
[10:27:15] <abaumann> aha. /etc/xml/catalog doesn't contain the new stylesheets for manpages from docbook (docbook-xsl)
[10:27:30] <abaumann> so, I'll try to build docbook-xsl first, hope the XML catalog is correct then..
[10:27:58] <abaumann> took me a while to understand that again. I think I used docbook 10 years ago or so last time :-)
[10:28:06] <abaumann> it was already using xslt, and not dsssl..

[14:35:12] <T`aZ> got issue with mime-update-somethingsomething , it required libicuuc*.so.67 , which is not available in stable
[14:35:32] <T`aZ> and it was indirect dependencies from libxml2 (that directly requires the non available libicu)
[14:38:33] <abaumann> /usr/bin/update-mime-databas?
[14:39:25] <abaumann> icu 67 is on stable, as far as I can tell
[14:44:28] <buildmaster> i486/dnscrypt-proxy is broken (says nlopc46-i486bs0): https://archlinux32.org
[14:48:02] <T`aZ> indeed, something is wrong on my side i guess, let me check
[14:49:12] -!- torv has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[14:53:06] <T`aZ> yup my bad, i had ice previously in my own local repo, and not a single warning that the update was ignored :(
[14:53:12] <T`aZ> sorry for the noise, all is fine it seems :p
[14:53:16] <abaumann> np :-)
[14:53:30] <abaumann> I'm just glad we don't have a general icu problem..
[14:53:48] <girls> yeah, that's the kind of false-alarm, I'm also glad about :-)
[14:54:51] <abaumann> non-noisy noise, basically ;-)
[14:55:07] <T`aZ> sorry :p
[14:57:05] <T`aZ> so, then the question, how come when i have my own version of a package, there is no warning (tried with regular pacman) that the update is ignored because (???)
[14:57:21] <girls> if your repo comes first, the package gets installed
[14:57:29] <girls> no matter the version
[14:57:33] <abaumann> exactly.
[14:57:43] <girls> only if you force a specific version, other repos might get considered (if yours does not fit)
[14:58:09] <T`aZ> ha, indeed that's the case
[14:58:47] * abaumann hates unforcable packages
[14:58:49] <abaumann> docbook-xsl
[14:59:03] <abaumann> I checked, not on the blacklist, I seeded it I prioritized it.
[14:59:07] <abaumann> It doesn't get build.
[14:59:26] <abaumann> I even offered eurobuild1 as a build slave..
[14:59:36] <girls> is this really the pkgbase?
[14:59:43] <girls> or is it just a part of a split package?
[14:59:46] <abaumann> split package?
[15:00:15] <girls> no, looks good
[15:00:30] <girls> it has currently 3 missing deps
[15:00:35] <girls> according to the buildmaster
[15:00:36] <abaumann> ah?
[15:00:44] <girls> and I presume, you used the wrong architecture ;-)
[15:00:48] <girls> it's "any"
[15:00:52] <girls> (for file-based forcing)
[15:01:03] <abaumann> oh. I forced it to anything _but_ any
[15:01:04] <abaumann> :-)
[15:01:20] <girls> buildmaster: why don't you build docbook-xsl
[15:01:21] <buildmaster> girls: "any/docbook-xsl" has unmet dependencies:
[15:01:21] <buildmaster> libxslt
[15:01:26] <girls> *tadaa*
[15:01:31] <abaumann> and libxslt needs docbook-xsl
[15:01:37] <abaumann> to build the manpage of xsltproc.1
[15:01:38] <girls> ok, so just file-force it
[15:01:51] <abaumann> this explains the problems there.
[15:01:54] <abaumann> a cycle.
[15:02:08] <abaumann> it should be a makedepends
[15:02:33] <abaumann> and docbook-xsl quite surely doesn't need libxslt just to install some static files and an XML catalog.
[15:02:44] <abaumann> *grmpf*
[15:02:47] <abaumann> thanks :-)
[15:02:51] <girls> np
[15:03:08] <abaumann> this qualified also as noisy noise.. ;-)
[15:04:31] <abaumann> yeah, ok, in order to be able to use an xslt stylesheet you actually need some sort of XSLT processor, but this doesn't necessarily have to be something linked against libxslt or alone xsltproc
[15:05:13] <abaumann> libxml2 dito
[15:12:20] <abaumann> the hook docbook-xsl.install needs it to install the catalog
[15:12:21] <abaumann> ok.
[15:22:24] <abaumann> there is no such thing as /etc/xml.d/docbook.xml and a central include. so you have to patch /etc/xml/catalog at runtime.
[15:22:29] <abaumann> this is by design :-)
