[01:01:20] <bill-auger> sunshavi: the pkgfile program can tell you the answer to that question for any file
[01:07:24] <sunshavi> bill-auger: I am going to install it
[01:10:13] <buildmaster> i486/emscripten is broken (says nlopc46-i486bs0): https://archlinux32.org

[04:45:23] <sunshavi> anyone has experienced this https://termbin.com
[04:50:24] <bill-auger> sunshavi: check if the directory exists /home/user/downloads/opt_clone/tmpchroot/user/
[04:50:42] <bill-auger> "user" should be your login
[04:50:47] <sunshavi> yes it exist
[04:50:59] <bill-auger> not literally "user"
[04:51:15] <sunshavi> also makepkg.conf is inside .../user/etc/
[04:51:21] <sunshavi> yes my user is user
[04:52:24] <bill-auger> i never use makechrootpkg directly, so i dont know for certain
[04:52:43] <bill-auger> you could try deleteing the chroot and re-crating it
[04:52:59] <sunshavi> bill-auger: Humm. I have delete it recreate it several times by now
[04:53:00] <bill-auger> not only user/ but the paraent dir too
[04:53:25] <sunshavi> sudo rm -r /home/user/downloads/opt_clone/tmpchroot
[04:53:43] <bill-auger> may opt_clone too - i dont know what that is
[04:54:07] <sunshavi> it is where i download several packages source code
[04:54:15] <bill-auger> it looks ike you are using some special tool, and not using makechrootpkg directly - there may be a bug in that tool. not makechrootpkg
[04:54:18] <sunshavi> it is just a directory
[04:54:37] <bill-auger> if you created opt_clone manually then its not a problem
[04:54:42] <sunshavi> i am following this one:http://allanmcrae.com/2009/09/ada-compiler-gnat-packages-for-arch/
[04:54:43] <phrik> Title: Ada Compiler (GNAT) Packages For Arch | Allan McRae (at allanmcrae.com)
[04:54:51] <bill-auger> just delete everything that got created autmatically and try again
[04:55:41] <sunshavi> I am going to do it once more.
[05:07:21] <buildmaster> i686/haskell-bifunctors are broken (says rechenknecht): https://archlinux32.org
[05:10:57] <sunshavi> bill-auger: :( same error
[05:30:48] <buildmaster> i686/haskell-logging-facade is broken (says rechenknecht): https://archlinux32.org
[06:04:41] <bill-auger> sry - i can not help with that directly - our tools are slightly modified
[06:06:03] <bill-auger> the doc say The chroot "root" directory must be created via the following command:
[06:06:04] <bill-auger> mkarchroot <chrootdir>/root base-devel
[06:06:40] <bill-auger> the you pass -r <chrootdir> - it should find root/ there
[06:07:19] <bill-auger> and if you need to, you can specify the working copy with -l <chrootdir>/user
[06:07:57] <bill-auger> if none of that works, then you maybe found a bug
[06:16:04] -!- drathir_tor has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds]
[06:17:00] <sunshavi> bill-auger: I am going to try <chrootdir>/root base-devel. And see how it works
[06:23:56] <buildmaster> i686/haskell-doctest is broken (says rechenknecht): https://archlinux32.org
[06:28:39] -!- drathir_tor has joined #archlinux32
[06:49:24] <sunshavi> bill-auger: it is working now the guide I was following is not up to date
[06:51:28] <sunshavi> makechrootpkg -c -r /home/user/downloads/opt_clone/tmpchroot/root {is wrong}. It should be makechrootpkg -c -r /home/user/downloads/opt_clone/tmpchroot
[07:33:45] <bill-auger> ok so, the "take-home" lesson here is called RTFM - that is all i did to find the suggestions i made
[07:34:30] <bill-auger> specifically, if you read the help `makechrootpkg -h`, it will probably tell you exectly what i found in my modified version
[07:35:58] <bill-auger> that tutorial is dated 2009, so it could be that the software has changed since then - but the current documentation is usually correct
[07:38:16] <bill-auger> in other words, that tutorial may have been correct in 2009 - Allan McRae is an arch dev - maybe you could suggest an update to thetutorial
