[08:00:52] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[08:00:52] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[08:00:53] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> since systemd promises to provide stable network names I have never seen so many hopping names from release to release :-)
[08:07:26] <abaumann> all build slaves working and nothing gets rebuild? this sounds suspicious..
[08:08:30] <abaumann> I consider pushing a community/libffi33 to stable, I'm not that hopeful that all breaking stuff is fixed so soon.

[09:22:47] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[09:22:47] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[09:22:48] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> the gnome project goes into a realm I can/will not follow. :-)
[09:23:17] <abaumann> now systemd also depends on libffi.so.7 and libffi.so.8 has hit testing, effectively breaking installations on testing :-)
[09:48:04] <abaumann> ah, it's libp11-kit.so.0..
[09:48:20] <abaumann> stuck in staging.. pushing to testing.. breaking more things presumably :-)
[10:27:01] <abaumann> so, p11-kit is ok.

[11:13:29] <sunshavi> deep42thought: hi. there should be problems on archlinuxarm gcc is still 10 there
[11:13:56] <sunshavi> Yes. I am getting the libffi issues on archlinuxarm
[11:31:47] <abaumann> sunshavi: I got all ARM machine to libffi.so.8.1.0 now (since yesterday evening, I think). Might depend on the mirror.
[11:31:59] <abaumann> They fixed it.. I'm still collecting puzzle pieces.. :-)

[18:17:27] <abaumann> redhat stuff?
[18:18:04] <abaumann> vesa: Refusing to run on UEFI
[18:18:11] <abaumann> On a virtual machine with a BIOS?
[18:18:34] <abaumann> something breaks X..
[18:20:15] <sunshavi> abaumann: Thanks. I am going to check in a few seconds
[18:21:52] -!- doskoi_ has joined #archlinux32
[18:22:14] -!- doskoi has quit [Ping timeout: 258 seconds]
[18:22:14] doskoi_ is now known as doskoi
[18:22:47] <sunshavi> abaumann: Yes it is fixed. I am talking about libffi on archlinuxarm
[18:22:50] <abaumann> "vesa: Refusing to run on UEFI" this sounds like an old "friend". X trying to be smart..
[18:23:38] <sunshavi> abaumann: which one is your SBC?
[18:24:44] <abaumann> pardon?
[18:25:15] <sunshavi> your Single Board Computer for archlinuxarm
[18:25:25] <abaumann> ah.
[18:25:44] <abaumann> I have a all versions of it, but a Raspi 4
[18:26:08] <sunshavi> with 8Gb Memory?
[18:27:08] <abaumann> more like 512MB to 1GB (Raspi Pi 1B+ to Pi 3)
[18:28:08] <abaumann> ah, xf86-video-vesa is maybe more than just old (aka broken)
[18:28:20] <abaumann> I'll try a xf86-video-fbdev on the VMs
[18:30:35] <sunshavi> cool. I tried dired cross-compilation of gcc arch32 last weekend. If failed when installed. This weekend I am going to try cross-compiling using SBC and x86-hw-with-cross-ng as distcc client this weekend
[18:30:57] <abaumann> this sounds like fun :-)
[18:31:56] <sunshavi> Yes. My goal is having gccemacs on arch32. For that I need gcc11,libgccjit, and compiling not released emacs28 branch
[18:32:16] <sunshavi> sorry. s/arch32/archlinuxarm-32/
[18:33:24] <abaumann> xbcom: Caught signal 8 (Floating point exception). Server aborting on fbdev
[18:33:25] <abaumann> fun.
[18:33:30] <abaumann> fun of the other kind..
[18:33:52] <abaumann> this sounds like SSE/FPU match issues..
[18:34:09] <abaumann> OTOH I was just upgrading libffi, glib2 and no X stuff, so..
[18:39:46] <abaumann> on gcc 11 on archlinuxarm: https://archlinuxarm.org
[18:39:48] <phrik> Title: Arch Linux ARM • View topic - Gcc 11? (at archlinuxarm.org)
[18:39:55] <abaumann> I think the answer is just "lack of hands" :-)
