[08:33:41] <abaumann> perl, this is really annoying, it fails to run tests in a build chroot, runs them normally.
[08:33:59] <abaumann> Also upstream must have hit this, there are several tests not running in the build chroots
[08:34:15] <abaumann> Now perl-XXX modules are being rebuild for nothing (because old perl is still there)
[08:34:29] <abaumann> This means, I have to rebuild perl and all the modules once again *sigh*
[08:45:05] <abaumann> Yeah, this is a locale issue in the build chroot
[08:45:14] <abaumann> lot's of test just fail with "perl: warning: Setting locale failed."
[09:15:02] <abaumann> yep. the problem is an old devtools32
[09:15:26] <abaumann> I see some log messages in devtools about setting locales in build chroots, that has not been merged yet into devtools32.
[09:15:51] <abaumann> upstream hit that, but fixed it in the right place (devtools) :-)
[09:16:05] <abaumann> I cannot do this currently, so I'll do a hackish-aroundish solution..
[09:16:30] <abaumann> (upgrading all build slaves is not really fun, and I want to stop perl rebuilds to produce wrong perl modules fast!)
[09:17:50] <abaumann> deep42thought: LTO, yeah, that's exactly the problem -Db_lto=false, LTO flags everywhere.. this would produce a lot of patches (seen that on i486)
[09:17:57] <abaumann> might not be feasable.
[09:18:26] <abaumann> ..and.. I have to measure the _actual_ time build slaves are spending for LTO.. might just have been coincidence..
[09:18:52] <abaumann> and it deviates from upstream (which has LTO enabled, only disabling it, if the package has problems linking).
